ALERT: Due to the COVID outbreak, Ocean Sangha is temporarily meeting online only. Read on for more information.
MBSR graduates inspired to commit to regular group practice in a simplified Zen style may join Ocean Sangha.
In addition to sitting meditation, we work with contemporary and traditional texts, poetry, and Western psychological exercises to enhance our understanding of meditation and its applications to daily life.
Sangha is a Sanskrit word that means ‘people who practice together.’
Ocean Sangha is a membership-based practice group led by David Weinberg for people who wish to develop and sustain their meditation practice in a group setting over the long term. Membership includes retreats and one-on-one guidance from the teacher. Members pay a regular monthly fee. StressCare and Ocean Sangha are unaffiliated sister organizations.
Build a whole-life practice with a group of dedicated people.
You are invited to join us on a Monday evening to try our approach to practice. We request a minimum donation of $15 per session for drop-in attendance. Contact David to get information about practicing with Ocean Sangha – how to visit, and how to begin.
Ocean Sangha now meets online, on ZOOM, every Monday evening except holidays, 7-9 pm. Due to the COVID outbreak, in-person meetings have been temporarily suspended.
