Due to the COVID outbreak, in-person All-day Retreats are cancelled until further notice. We’re working on online retreats – stay tuned!
Saturday, May 30, 10am—4pm
Return to retreat and get guidance in the fundamentals – it’s familiar but always different. Support and encourage yourself and others by practicing together. It’s easier than you think!
There is no charge for people who have completed our 8-Week Course or Mindfulness 1-on-1. Others attend for $20.
Sign-up is required for everyone so we know you’re coming.
What to bring
Snacks and medicines if needed
Yoga mat, camping mat, or thick blanket for work on the floor
Meditation cushions or benches if you like floor sitting
Light blanket or warm layers in case the room is chilly
Anything else you need to be supported and comfortable while sitting and lying down
Dress in loose, comfortable clothing.
What to leave at home
For the duration of retreat we will silence or turn off cell phones, remove watches, and refrain from reading and writing. Current students will have opportunity to discuss their retreat experience in the next class meeting. There is no need to bring your workbook.
Arrive and depart in silence
Participants enter and leave the retreat hall in silence. We simplify interactions by maintaining silence throughout the day and by “keeping custody of the eyes” (refraining from direct eye contact).
Contact us if you have questions. We look forward to seeing you!
Enter the Fellowship Hall from the ramp on Bonita Avenue. The main door on Cedar Street is always locked. Street parking is available in the surrounding neighborhoods. On weekdays, unrestricted parking is available on Josephine Street north of Vine Street. Parking on Saturdays for All-day Retreats is unrestricted on most streets. Be aware of parking signs. Please arrive in time to find the classroom and settle in before class begins.
