Eight-Week Course


The methods used by StressCare are powerful and long-lasting, according to research conducted over the past 25 years.

The StressCare course includes:

  • Detailed instruction in meditation
  • Mindful breathing and body awareness exercises
  • Gentle movement adapted to individual participant's needs
  • Group discussion in a compassionate atmosphere
  • All necessary instructional materials

The course consists of an orientation, eight weekly classes, and a day-long retreat. There are daily assignments to be done at home. Commitment and steady effort are essential for success.

Who takes the course?

  • People with cancer, HIV/AIDS, and other life-threatening illnesses
  • People with chronic pain such as back pain, migraine headache, G.I. distress, and fibromyalgia
  • People suffering from anxiety, panic, and insomnia

  • Men and women aged 20-80 in all walks of life
